Plastic Documentary
Hello
I am a filmmaker from Vancouver who is developing a feature documentary on the history of plastic. I'm interested in the way that plastic fueled the economy in the US in the Fifties, and how the disposable culture that was created at the time has led to mass overconsumption today. One segment of the film will have us follow an average Canadian family for 6 months as they try and eliminate as much plastic waste production as possible. I'm also interested in bringing together a roundtable discussion of people who have already undertaken this challenge on their own, people like yourselves. I'm looking for an additional two or three people to complement the participants I already have (Beth Terry and lifelessplastic). I aim to be shooting late 2008/early 2009 and I would compensate your expenses to come to some halfway location convenient for everyone for one or two nights. You can reach me at jonornoy@hotmail.com
